"When people get caught up with that which is right
and they are willing to sacrifice for it,
there is no stopping point short of victory."

Veterans
Every person deserves the basic necessities of life: food, shelter and clothing. We proudly serve the homeless populations in the cities in which we operate.
People can be categorized as homeless if they are: living on the streets; moving between temporary shelters, including houses of friends, family and emergency accommodation; living in private boarding houses without a private bathroom and/or security of tenure.
We believe a home is not just a physical space: it also provides roots, identity, security, a sense of belonging and a place of emotional well-being.
We provide the basic necessities for homeless people, including emergency shelter or transitional housing and support them with food, clothing, job training, financial literacy and other needed services.
ELOHIM specializes in providing transitional housing and reentry services for both men and women with children, while helping to build strong communities through recovery, civic engagement, and leadership development.
Formerly Incarcerated People, Unemployed, Recovering Alcoholics and Addicts, Disabled, Domestic Violence Survivors, or those otherwise unable to obtain housing independent of assistance are the key groups we serve.
Although we serve single men and women, the needs of men and women with children are unique. Our services include emergency and transitional housing; providing personal hygiene supplies, day care and food as needed, transportation, and resource assistance to other service providers that help our clients find the road to “Starting Over.”
No Veteran should be without a place to call home. We are committed to ending homelessness among Veterans.
Our focus is threefold:
-
To proactively seek out and place Veterans in transitional and/or permanent housing.
-
To connect homeless and at-risk Veterans with health care, community employment services and other needed supports.
-
To collaborate with federal, state and local agencies; employers; housing providers, faith-based and community nonprofits; and others to expand employment and affordable housing options for Veterans exiting homelessness.
We fully believe in the motto "No person left behind."
